Bud R. Calvert is an American independent Baptist pastor, author, and conference speaker. He founded the Fairfax Baptist Temple (a fundamental Christian church in Fairfax, Virginia) and its associated school, the Fairfax Baptist Temple Academy. He currently serves the church in the role of Pastor Emeritus and "travels throughout the United States and around the world preaching in missions conferences, helping to start churches, encouraging missionaries and pastors, and training men who are preparing for the ministry."
In a joint resolution of the Virginia State House, Calvert was commended for 35 years of leadership, outstanding service and compassionate ministry to the residents of Fairfax County and other communities.

Early life and education
Calvert was born on October 3, 1943, in Arlington, Virginia. He joined the United States Army and served as a paratrooper in Italy, then attended at Bob Jones University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. He later received a masters and doctorate in ministry from Freedom University.

Fairfax Baptist Temple
Bud Calvert founded the Fairfax Baptist Temple in October 1970 with the stated mission "to glorify God and evangelize the world." In 1976 the church began a Christian school, Fairfax Baptist Temple Academy, now a K4-12th grade school considered a ministry of the church and which takes part in the Old Dominion Association of Church Schools. The church also founded and sponsors the International Conference on World Evangelism (ICWE), intended "to educate young pastors and remind seasoned pastors about the need to maintain primacy of world evangelism in the life of every church."
