Events

On June 1, 2010 before 10:00 am, Zhu Jun entered the courthouse and randomly shoot people. The attack resulted in 3 deaths (Chief Judge Zhao Hulin, Deputy Chief Justice Jiang Qidong, and Huang Lan District Court) and 3 injured persons. The victims did not discuss the attacker's case. Zhu committed suicide after the incident.

Zhu apparently was angry at the Chinese judicial system about the outcome of his divorce settlement. He had a son, and had parted with his wife 3 years before the incident.

Zhu works as a security chief at the Lingling County post office, and has obtained weapons from postal security personnel by pretending that he needs to take them for inspection.

Disensored

News about the attack was subject to internet censorship in the People's Republic of China. The Chinese government ordered the main news portal to remove the mention of the incident, citing fears of a copycat crime. For example, Zhidao Baidu's page about the incident was revealed.
