Chip Baltimore (born March 22, 1966) is a member of the Iowa House of Representatives.
Baltimore has a bachelor's degree from Iowa State University and a degree from the University of Minnesota Law School. For much of his legal career, he has practiced law in Boone, Iowa.
In September 2017, Baltimore served on several committees at Iowa House: Commerce and Ways and Means committees, as well as the budget subcommittee of Justice Court Appropriations. He previously served as Chairman of the Justice committee.
Baltimore was first elected to the legislature in 2010.
On January 19, 2018, Baltimore was arrested near Ames, Iowa on OWI charges and possession of firearms while under the influence. After the arrest, Baltimore announced he would be responsible and plead guilty. He has been removed from his leadership role as Chairman of the Iowa House Judiciary Committee on January 21, 2018.
