Las Vegas, Nevada came to be known as The Capital of World Marriage as a result of the ease of obtaining a marriage license and the minimal fees involved. The city continues to be known as a popular wedding destination for the same reason, but also as a result of the various types of marriages available.

Marriage license
Nevada wedding license is very easy to get; there is no blood test or takes time waiting. Las Vegas has further streamlined the process. After the short form is completed and submitted to the wedding bureau and $ 77.00 cash or order money and government-issued photo identification, marriage certificates can be obtained within minutes until midnight every night.
Within a year of receipt of a marriage certificate a marriage ceremony must be conducted to have a legal union, and marriage is legal and binding throughout the United States under the Control of Faith and Credit Clause, as well as most other countries.

Wedding venue
There are many options for wedding ceremonies in Las Vegas. The cheapest option, for $ 75.00, is to marry at the Civil Marriage Office.
Most weddings conducted in Las Vegas may be a civil or religious service depending on the chosen wedding venue.
With an average of 115,000 marriages a year, the Las Vegas wedding industry is highly competitive and the location of the ceremony is overwhelming. Most of the city's main hotels have wedding chapels and many local restaurants offer wedding ceremonies. Marriage can also be done in one of the local churches, synagogues, on one of the many golf courses, or in a free-standing wedding chapel. Drive-thru marriage is also available.
Wedding Chapels
The majority of new wedding chapels are located on the Las Vegas Strip. A local law in the 1970s made it impossible to build a free-standing wedding chapel on the Las Vegas Strip. Older wedding chapels will be found in the city center.
Wedding themed
Many chapels also offer themed weddings. Common themes include Hawaiian, fairy tales, Star Trek , goth, and weddings with Elvis or Michael Jackson impersonators. The Tropicana has offered a marriage of "rock stars" led by former Quiet Riot frontman Paul Shortino.
Outside Las Vegas
Second in popularity for the choice of a wedding chapel, is having a ceremony performed outdoors somewhere in the surrounding Las Vegas area.
